ILL :. RALPH CHAMBLISS,SR.                                                                                                                                       RIGHT WORSHIPFUL DEPUTY GRAND MASTER

My Masonic career had a most unusual beginning. It started in Japan in 1955. I was stationed there while in the US Air Force. It was a hot July day and I saw a friend of mine, wearing a black suit and bow tie. I asked him why he was dressed like that on such a hot day. His reply, I am a Mason and I am going to a meeting. He explained as much as he could in those days, about Masonry. Then he asked me how old I was. I said 20. He said I was to young to be a Mason, and I would have to be 21 years old. That day left a lasting impression on me, and I have never forgotten that day or my friend. Brother Hebert L. Day.
